“Free to browse,” “free for buyers,” “free to post” and “free to sell” describe different things. Ask whether you can complete a sale without purchasing a subscription, then check commission and withdrawal costs. A free account can still require private identity verification.
Choose by your starting position
- No upfront budget: prioritize an eligible platform that charges from sales. Complete its verification before building a large catalogue.
- Existing audience: compare checkout, delivery, platform rules and payout support. A bigger follower count does not itself prove paying demand.
- No audience: compare how buyers discover new profiles, then run a capped experiment. Neither a paid plan nor a free listing guarantees traffic.

Send interested adults to a permitted checkout with a clear listing, price, delivery scope and privacy policy. Do not treat a DM, a payment screenshot or a request for a refundable “release fee” as a completed order.

Can I start with no money?
A free-to-join platform can remove the seller subscription, but you still invest time and may face commission, withdrawal or production costs. You can make no sales.
Is paying for a seller plan worth it?
Only your actual results can answer that. Compare net revenue and hours spent with the cost of renewing. Do not buy a longer commitment solely because a platform advertises successful creators.
