Check privacy at three levels
Start with the audience. A buyer may see your display name, public bio, listings and anything you reveal in messages. The platform and its service providers may need legal identity, age, tax and payout information. Other websites can connect accounts when you reuse names, photos or links.
- Public profile: preview it while signed out and check every field.
- Private account: read the platform’s verification and privacy policies.
- Payout provider: confirm required legal-name and beneficiary details.
- Linked identities: check reused handles, profile pictures and contact information.
Create a separate account identity
Use a dedicated creator email and a unique password. Enable available two-factor authentication. Choose a public handle that does not include your surname, birth date, workplace or exact location. Do not reuse a profile photo from a personal social account.
Save recovery information securely. Keep private verification documents out of public posts and DMs. Complete verification only through the official platform flow; a buyer does not need your identity document to place an order.
Review content before publishing
Inspect reflections, windows, labels, screens, mail, tattoos and distinctive backgrounds. Check location metadata before uploading. Avoid posting a live location or a predictable daily routine.
A face-free photo can still identify someone through its surroundings or reuse elsewhere. Removing a post later cannot guarantee that nobody saved it. Decide what you are comfortable publishing before accepting payment.
Keep identity requests out of buyer conversations
Use the platform’s order and payment workflow. Do not share passwords, verification codes, government IDs or full bank details with a buyer. Treat pressure to move to a new payment route as a reason to check the platform’s rules and the buyer’s request carefully.
Record the scope and delivery deadline for custom work. A buyer claiming to be platform staff does not make an instruction trustworthy; use official support channels to verify account requests.
Run a monthly privacy review
Check your profile while signed out, review linked accounts and active sessions, and remove unnecessary public details. Revisit your boundaries if buyers request identifying information you did not intend to share.
